Not Knockin' 'Em Down, But Pickin' 'Em Up

The Hacker Hockey Club and the Icemen That Care Foundation seek to score both on and off the ice. Our goal is to show that hockey players do care and can make an important difference in the community. So often hockey players are known for knocking people down but Icemen That Care gives us a chance to pick people up too The organization is very active in numerous community service projects throughout the year. The adult amateur hockey players have been collecting food, toys and clothing for thousands of families that are donated to area shelters and low-income neighborhoods.  For the past 5 and a half years, these players have also been playing street hockey in these neighborhoods & donating hockey sticks, street balls, and nets and providing street hockey clinics. This year the Phoenix Coyotes donated a full set of street hockey equipment for this program. Icemen That Care was the 2002 recipient of Champions for Children, AZ.

The Icemen That Care Foundation is a registered 501 (c) 3, non profit organization and has had 3 major charity events a year along with our monthly street hockey program, Takin’ It To The Streets.
